For life after a stroke
Help your mind
through the day.
PatchMyMind is a calm reminder app and diary for people recovering from a stroke. It shows one thing at a time, keeps reminding until the task is done, and lets a loved one help from afar.
To the team at Mater Dei Hospital
You saved my life. The doctors, nurses, therapists and everyone else at Mater Dei Hospital in Malta gave me a second chance – and the care, patience and kindness I received there stayed with me long after I left.
Recovery doesn’t end at the hospital door. Back home, the simplest things became hard: remembering to take medicine, keeping track of the day, knowing what I had already done. I built PatchMyMind to help with exactly that – first for myself, and now for anyone who needs it.
This page is my way of saying thank you, and of showing you what your work made possible.
With gratitude, Łukasz
How it works
- 1
Ask once, then forget
Say what needs to happen and when – “at 8 pm take medicine”. That is all.
- 2
The phone remembers
At the right time the phone rings, even when the app is closed, and shows only this one task.
- 3
Answer with one tap
“Done” marks it in the diary. “Remind me later” brings it back in a few minutes. Until then, it keeps asking.
Made for a recovering brain
One thing at a time
The home screen answers a single question: “What now?”. It shows only the one task that matters right now – never a long list.
Reminders that don’t give up
A reminder keeps ringing, vibrating and – if wanted – reading itself aloud until it is answered with “Done” or “Remind me later”. A missed notification is not silently lost.
Speak instead of type
Reminders are added by voice: “at 3 pm doctor”, “in 20 minutes medicine”. The time is understood from the sentence, so there are no small fields to fill in.
A caregiver, from anywhere
A family member can be invited as a caregiver. They see the day’s tasks live, can add or change them, and can press “Remind now” to make the phone ring straight away.
A diary that writes itself
Short notes of the day, with the time: when I woke up, what I did, which reminders were completed. It helps to answer “what did I do today?” – for me, my family and my doctors.
Works when things go wrong
No internet? Everything is kept on the phone and sent later. Large buttons, high contrast and plain words throughout, because tired eyes and a tired mind deserve an easy screen.
Good to know
- Runs in the browser and installs on the home screen of any iPhone or Android phone – no app store needed.
- Private by design: data is kept on our own server, not sold or shared. Only the patient and the caregivers they invite can see it.
- The app currently speaks Polish, my native language. Other languages, English first, can follow.
- PatchMyMind is a personal, non-commercial project. It supports daily life – it is not a medical device and doesn’t replace medical advice.
